For Immediate Release December, 3 2008 Renner Winery opens new tasting room in Cooperopolis Town Square A doctor’s winery dream has come true. Growing grapes in Calaveras County for 10 years was not enough for Dr. Ian Renner. His dream was to have a World-Class winery at sometime. That dream has come true. In Vallecito, CA, deep in the heart of the Sierra Foothills is Canterbury Vineyards. Where for years estate grown Cabernet, Syrah and Viognier has been used to make award winning wines for other vintners in California. In 2007 Dr. Renner’s dream became fulfilled, with a new vintage, and a new place to pour it—for those who like premier World-Class wines. In the unique vintage Town Square, in Cooperoperlis, CA, amongst the quaint charm is the new Renner Winery tasting room. Where one can taste the quality of winemaker Brett Keller’s talents and attention to detail. Renner Winery’s is truly a great new find in the Calaveras County. “We are excited to finally be open for business in Calaveras County and in the town of Copperopolis. We love the culture of wine in Calaveras County, and we love our new venue. The Town Square is a great location for us. Oddly enough, our vineyard is quite close to Copperopolis, just 10 miles as the crow flies!” says Brett Keller “The Tasting Room is so beautiful, it’s designed by the acclaimed local architect firm of Rudolph Ortega and associates. The signature feature is the 40 foot poured concrete wraparound bar, it’s truly an amazing looking.” says Amy Young, tasting room hostess. Not only does Renner Winery make delicious wines but, they also make Olive Oil from their own Manzanilla Olives on the estate. “we’ve been growing some of the regions best Syrah, Cabernet and Viognier, but many don’t realize we grow Olives and it creates the best Olive Oil, that is so unique and wonderful. Some fresh Rosemary bread and a bottle of the Syrah and I’m a happy camper”, says Steve Moore, Renner Winery vineyard manager. According to Young, the tasting room will offer a host of wine gadgets, Chocoholics, and other interesting gift items, that would please any wine connoisseur, with a holiday gift baskets ready to be placed under the tree. The Tasting Room offers complementary wine and olive oil tastings. Renner tasting room is located in the southwest corner of the square and is open throughout the holidays from 11 AM to 6 PM, Thursday through Sunday. Open late for Copper Town Square events! There’s also a ribbon cutting scheduled for December 6, at the Town Square in Cooperoperlis. ----------------------------------end-------------------------------------------------- Media Relations contact: Brett Keller, 209.981.8216 Website is: http://www.rennerwinery.com Photos available for download & publication at: http://www.rennerwinery.com/mediarelations Captions for photos online: Caption: Brett Keller, Renner Winery wine maker in the barrel room.
